Popular TV actor and comedian, Sunil Grover, who was admitted to Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai after complaining of chest pain, underwent bypass surgery and has been discharged today from the hospital. The actor was diagnosed with heart blockages and a doctor from the hospital revealed to the portal that he had suffered a heart attack and was also COVID positive during the admission.

The doctor said that after ECG and blood report, it was discovered that he had suffered a heart attack following which he was given medication to stabilise his condition. The doctor also revealed that he had asymptomatic COVID and was under treatment for that as well. After a week, an angiography was done and since it was found that all of his three arteries had blockage a bypass was done.

While the actor has recovered well and discharged from the hospital, the doctor said Sunil needs to be careful about his health and maintain a healthy lifestyle. “He has to be careful, adopt a healthy lifestyle and pay attention to his diet. He also has to walk regularly and exercise. He has to rest…Maybe after two to three weeks, he will be back to normal life and he can resume work,” the doctor told E Times.

The news of Sunil Grover’s heart surgery came across as a shocker in the entertainment industry as we saw many celebs and fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery. Veteran actress Simi Garewal had tweeted, “Am shocked that @WhoSunilGrover has had heart surgery. Filling our hearts with laughter & joy..at the cost of his own. I pray he recovers fast.. He has a formidable talent..& I’m a huge fan!!”

Sunil Grover is known for his bang-on comic timing and has impressed fans with his characters in shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show, Kanpur Wale Khuranas and Gangs Of Filmistaan. He also featured in films like Bharat alongside Salman Khan and Gabbar Is Back, where he shared screen space with Akshay Kumar.
