It was in the year 2008 when television actress Rubina Dilaik entered the television world to become one of its most prominent faces by playing the protagonist in Chotti Bahu. The actress was paired opposite Avinash Sachdev on the daily soap. The duo played each other’s love interest but little did they know that they will soon upgrade their reel love to a real one soon.

Love sparked between Rubina Dilaik and Avinash Sachdev and soon after, they were all over the news. But a while later, things went kaput between Avinash and Rubina and the duo ended up moving in their own different ways. Cut to today, Rubina is happily married to telly hottie Abhinav Shukla and Avinash participated in Nach Baliye 9 with Palak Puruswami. Back then, Rubina had a hard time moving on from her relationship and had spoken about how it made her stronger.

Speaking to ETimes, Rubina Dilaik had shared about her breakup, “The experiences, heartbreak and downfall in my life has made me a stronger woman. I emerged stronger. At that point in time I didn’t realize it. I grudged, sulked and asked why this happened to me. That lamenting had to come to a closure someday because that’s not me. I believe in evolution. But now I am very grateful that it happened to me and I went through that bad patch in my life.”

Rubina further added, “Because from there on I determined to become a better person. I have no grudges, regrets and I completely owe up to the responsibility that the heartbreak happened to me. I am thankful as had this not happened I would have not seen the beauty of a new relationship. I believe that’s how we grow in life. The one important lesson that I have learnt in my life is that embrace life as it comes.”

The actress had further added that she and Avinash ended on a good note and were still on talking terms (then).

Work-wise, Rubina’s popularity reached newer heights after she won the Bigg Boss 14 trophy. She is currently seen in Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Not just this, she has become a social media icon with over 6 million followers on the platform.
