When BTS’ V revealed the real ‘scary’ reason why BTS does not take commercial flights anymore

With a great amount of global stardom comes an equally wide array of obstacles. BTS is not averse to obsessed fans stalking their every move. From ambushing the group on airports to following them around town, sasaeng fans are not very far from the septet. As disturbing as their antics are for ARMY to digest, it must be much worse for the members themselves.

BTS’ singer however did call out this ‘scary’ behaviour in one of his LIVE broadcasts. Taking to VLIVE, V spoke for the whole group when he revealed why it is impossible for the group to take commercial flights anymore. Revealing that they actually do want to fly commercial, but whenever they catch long or short distance flights, certain fans come to know about their schedule beforehand and sit either next to or around them.

As creepy as it sounds, V went on to mention that it becomes difficult for them to relax as much as they want to and the whole ordeal makes them extremely uncomfortable. As ARMY flooded his comments section with love and sympathy, he confirmed that it was indeed ‘very scary’.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time the members have been tormented by sasaeng fans. For those of you who may be unaware, sasaengs are actually the Korean equivalent of stalkers or obsessed fans. They follow members and try to gain their attention through the weirdest of antics.

Jungkook too was once disturbed by such a fan during his VLIVE. The maknae was chatting with ARMY when he received a phone call from a sasaeng whom he immediately blocked. While such instances were caught on camera, ARMY constantly debate the repercussions of their actions behind the scenes.

In fact, V once was so fed up of a fan crowding him in an already crowded airport that he took out his phone and pointed it towards her as if he was filming her. The move was to let these fans know how uncomfortable their actions are for the artistes.

While he received backlash for willingly ‘violating the privacy’ of this fan, millions of ARMY came to his defence stating that he was just trying to protect himself and his personal space. V has been very vocal about protecting their privacy and fans love the fact that he is not afraid of calling out such fans.
