The internet is buzzing with a new AI trend that is, Studio Ghibli Art and social media is flooded with AI-created Ghibli-style images. From Bollywood stars to ordinary people everyone is trying recreating their image and sharing it on their social media .

Vishal Dadlani Calls Out AI Art

Amid this buzzing trend, Music composer Vishal Dadlani has recently called out and strongly criticised this trend, calling it ‘AI plagiarisation.’ Taking to social media, he requested fans not to make or tag him in any AI-generated Ghibli-style images of himself or for himself.

He wrote, “Sorry, I’m not sharing any of the Studio Ghibli-style images you guys have made of or for me. I just can’t bring myself to support AI’s plagiarisation of an artist’s life’s work.”

Vishal Dadlani also raised question about it’s environmental impact writing, “Not to mention, the environmental horror that those images are. Please do NOT make any more. Thank you.”

Celebrities Join the Ghibli Trend

While Vishal refuses to participate many Bollywood celebrities have already embraced the trend including Kiara Advani, Parineeti Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan and more.

Vishal Dadlani’s Musical Legacy

Over the years, Vishal has carved his niche in the music industry with his soulful voice. He is known for his songs like- Dhoom Again, Swag Se Swagat, Bala and Khuda Hafiz. He has also composed music for Bollywood films like Om Shanti Om, Dostana, Sultan, and War.

While AI continues to revolutionise digital art, Vishal Dadlani remains firm in his stance against AI-generated Ghibli images, advocating for originality and respect for traditional artists.
