Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be starting their campaign on March 22 against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025. Ahead of this their star batter Virat Kohli opened up about the toughest bowler he has ever faced in RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit.
The bowler is none other than India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, according to Kohli he has kept him on his toes and given a tough challenge.
“Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler across all the formats, and he has got me out a few times in the IPL so whenever I face him its like okay, it’s going to be fun because we don’t get to do that in nets, even in the nets its like we are playing a match.”
“The intensity is like a match we play in IPL and he knows how to get me out and I try not to get out.”
“Today he is like the marker I keep when I play against him regularly, that I would say is the most enjoyable and toughest challenge”
Virat Kohli will be featuring in the 18th edition of IPL and this also marks his 18 years with the franchise (RCB). While Jasprit Bumrah on the other hand is still facing injury concerns and his availability is still not certain or confirmed for Mumbai Indians.
