On Wednesday (January 12) afternoon, Rohit shared an all-new look on social media. The 34-year-old has shaved off his beard and looks quite young in the pic. Rohit likely to return from the Sri Lanka series

Rohit is likely to make his return to the game from the series against Sri Lanka. After being rested for the home Test against New Zealand, the right-handed batsman was to assist Virat Kohli in three Tests against South Africa. However, the hamstring injury ruled him out of the red-ball matches.

He was expected to be fit for the white-ball matches and wasn’t deemed fit. KL Rahul will be leading the Men in Blue in three ODIs.

Rohit looks all but set to lead play his next competitive game on February 6. It will be his first ODI as the full-time captain. Following the home series against SL and West Indies, he will lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022.

Talking of the India tour of SA, the three-match Test series is levelled at 1-1. Both the teams are competing in 3rd Test catch at Cape Town. The three ODIs of the series will be played on January 19, 21 and 23. Jasprit Bumrah will assist Rahul in ODIs.
