AS Roma have joined the race to peruse Sunderland captain Dan Neil, according to League Identification, fending off interest from Premier League trio West Ham and Everton. The 23-year-old midfielder with a current market value of £15 million was initially pursued by Everton as far back as January though that’s not surprising, really, given that David Moyes has had a long-time interest since his management of the Black Cats, in truth. Scouts from both Everton and West Ham have been watching Neil’s last performances, aware that he’s starting to leave his stamp on games at Sunderland.

Roma’s Interest In Dan Neil Intensifies After Tracking Enzo Le Fee

The Serie A side first tracked Neil while watching their loan player, Enzo Le Fee, who moved from Roma to Sunderland on loan in January. Transfer insider Pete O’Rourke doubled down on Roma’s increasing interest, saying, “Roma have joined West Ham in pursuit of Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil. Neil has already attracted the interest of the Italian giants after they deployed officials to monitor Enzo Le Fee. Following on from his run of impressive displays, Neil has established himself as one of Sunderland’s most important targets for their Serie A suitors.
