While several new dramas including Tere Bin, Mere Humsafar and Kaisi teri Khudgarzi Hai have been watched by millions, an unexpected name has emerged out as the fastest to cross 2 billion views.

Starring Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari, the ongoing drama Jaan Nisar broke all records as it crossed 2 Billion Views within 135 days. Sharing the good news, both the leading actors as well as the production house took to their social media handle and posted a poster alongside a caption that read, “With 2 Billion + views on YouTube in just 135 days, #JaanNisar has set a new record as the fastest drama serial to reach this milestone! This achievement belongs to our amazing audience. Thank you for your endless love and support!”

So far, the makers have release 57 episodes, and the show is reaching its climax now. Helmed by the popular duo Abdullah Kadwani and Abdullah Qureshi, the show airs on Geo Entertainment. It revolves around Dua, a young girl from a regular family with dreams as high as the sky; and a wealthy and no-nonsense guy Nosherwan. When the two meet, life unfolds.  

Ironically, the show has received poor reviews from Pakistani critics. It has been mocked for stereotypical storyline and boring characters. But the huge fan following of Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari has helped the show garners good numbers.
