‘Terrorism supporters, Jinnahwadi thinking…’: Yogi Adityanath’s sharp attack at opposition

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came down heavily upon the opposition, accusing them of looting the rights of the people and insulting the country on several occasions.

Addressing a gathering in Gorakhpur in the run-up to upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath said that on one hand, the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief JP Nadda is trying to establish India as a powerful nation in the world, while on the other hand, some people are insulting the country.

“On one hand, BJP is there under the leadership of PM Modi and JP Nadda to protect the pride and glory of India and to establish India as a capable and powerful nation in the world, on the other hand, those who insult the country, and hurt the country’s belief, those who looted the rights of the people of the country and the state, terrorism supporters, those with Jinnahist thinking will be seen standing in the poll fray,” the Chief Minister said.

He also said that ever since the BJP government came to power in Uttar Pradesh, “goons” have forgotten hooliganism and “gangsters” have left the state.

“You must be noticing that all the problems are being solved one by one. This is the same state which was dominated by gangsters and rioters. But the goons have forgotten hooliganism, gangsters have left the state. They know that if they resort to anarchy, there will be recovery for the damages,” he said.

Last year, the Uttar Pradesh government brought an ordinance for the recovery of damages to public and private properties from rioters and protesters through setting up of tribunals.

Elections for the 400-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly are slated to be held early next year.
