‘Tis the season of major Bollywood and South film releases! Ever since theatres have opened in Maharashtra, big Bollywood movies are being released every week. In the upcoming week, John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar’s Satyameva Jayate 2 is set to hit the big screen on November 25. And the next day, Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma’s Antim: The Final Truth is scheduled to release.

Early next year (2022), Alia Bhatt’s films RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi were set to clash at the box office. However, the makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi decided to postpone the film’s release. That being said, now two other Bollywood and South movies are set for a major box office clash in 2022.

A while ago, Kareena Kapoor shared the new release date of Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, which is the Hindi remake of Forrest Gump, stars Aamir Khan and Kareena in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Baisakhi – April 14, 2022. And on the same day, Kannada star Yash’s film KGF: Chapter 2 will be released in cinemas.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the big box office of Laal Singh Chaddha v/s KGF: Chapter 2 on his Twitter handle. “‘LSC’ VERSUS ‘KGF2’: THE BIGGG CLASH… 14 April 2022 will witness the clash of the two biggies: #LaalSinghChaddha and #KGF2… #AamirKhan versus #Yash,” his tweet read.

For the unaware, it was earlier reported that Aamir would release Laal Singh Chaddha this Christmas. However, the makers found it wise to release the film next year. Laal Singh Chaddha will mark Aamir and Kareena’s reunion after 12 years. The actors were seen together in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. That film also starred Mona Singh and she will be also seen in LSC.

On the other hand, Kannada star Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is the sequel to his 2018 film, KGF. The first installment had received a massive response from the audiences and critics alike. Ever since people have been waiting with bated breath to see Yash’s KGF 2. The film has been written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The interesting part about this film is that Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon will be seen in KGF 2.
