Days after Sushil Kumar’s selfie session with cops triggered an inquiry from the Delhi Police, the tainted wrestler has made a special request in Tihar jail amid the ongoing investigation into the Sagar Dhankar murder case. One of the most decorated grapplers in the history of Indian wrestling, Sushil was arrested by Delhi Police in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl case that led to the tragic death of wrestler Sagar.

As per the latest developments in the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl case, wrestler Sushil has demanded the Delhi prison authorities to provide him a television. Lodged in the Tihar jail for his alleged connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl, wrestling icon Sushil wants a television inside his cell in order to stay connected about what all is happening in and around the world of wrestling.

According to a report filed by news agency PTI, the tainted wrestler has insisted prison authorities provide him a television so that he can stay updated about the upcoming wrestling matches. Sushil, who was arrested along with co-accused Ajay Kumar earlier in May near Delhi’s Mundka is accused of brutally assaulting wrestler Sagar and two of his friends Sonu and Amit Kumar in the aftermath of a property dispute.

A senior jail official has revealed that wrestler Sushil made the request for television through his advocate. The official has confirmed that wrestler Sushil requested a television set so that he would get updates about wrestling matches. Talking more about the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl case, the Delhi court had extended the judicial custody of the two-time Olympic medallist till July 9.

India’s only world champion (2010) in wrestling, Sushil had made a request for special food and supplements in jail. The application filed by Sushil was dismissed by the Delhi Court. In order to maintain his physique and physical strength inside the prison, the wrestler had sought supplements like isolate whey protein, omega 3 capsules, capsules, pre-workout C4, and exercise bands.
