Singapore’s passport is the world‘s most powerful, and Afghanistan’s is the most diminished of 2025. India’s passport ranks 80th, sharing the space with Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Tajikistan. Henley & Partners released a report on passport ranking based on destinations worldwide, ranking 199 passports.

The Henley Passport Index also ranks passports that provide entry without a visa. Henley used data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Singaporean passports provide visa-free entry access to 193 out of 227 nations, while Japan and South Korea’s passports are allowed without a visa in 10 countries.

In this list, seven nations share the third place, which are Denmark, Final, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. These nations’ passports get access without visas to 189 countries. Afghanistan ranks at the lowest in the list at 99th spot while Syria is at 98th position. Iraq shares the 97th position with 30 countries, while Pakistan ranks at the 96th position.

America’s passport ranks at 9th position. Two nations were on top of the list for the last two years, but Singapore and Japan this year surpassed them. Japan has received visa-free entry into China after Covid.

UAE has become the only Arabic nation that has strengthened its position and improved its ranking in a very short time.
