Things have only been spiralling for Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Her husband and businessman Raj Kundra has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days after he was arrested on July 19 for being a ‘key conspirator’ in producing and distributing pornographic films. With a new update and a new trouble brewing every day, Shilpa has maintained her silence through the matter.
While details in the Raj Kundra porn case are awaited, Shilpa’s mother Sunanda Shetty has filed an official complaint against a man named Sudhakar Ghare. She had purchased land worth Rs 1.6 crore but was cheated with fake papers.
The post by news agency ANI read, “Sunanda Shetty, mother of Shilpa Shetty files cheating complaint against a person named Sudhakar Ghare in land deal case The accused, with the help of fake papers, had sold land to Sunanda for Rs 1.6 crores. Case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC: Mumbai Police”
On the other hand, Shilpa has chosen to be tight-lipped amid the ongoing Raj Kundra case. Raj has been arrested under Indian Penal Code – sections 354(C) (Voyeurism), 292 (sale of obscene content), 420(cheating) of the IPC, and Sections 67, 67A (transmission of sexually explicit material) of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Last evening, it was reported that the Securities and Exchange Board of India, a regulating body of securities and commodity market in India under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance had imposed a penalty of Rs 3 lakh on Shilpa as well as Raj and his company Viaan Industries for violating insider trading rules.
The only time Shilpa opened up on the matter was ahead of the release of her film Hungama 2. She had written an elaborate note for the audience and stated that a film that everyone has worked hard on shouldn’t suffer due to the things happening in her personal life. A part of Shilpa’s note read, “Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team that’s worked very hard to make a good film, and the film shouldn’t suffer… ever!”
