IMDB’s list of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2025 is out, and the top 10 spots are filled with some of the most exciting releases of the year.
Kicking off the list at number 10 is Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana. The film is set to release on Valentine’s Day, February 14
Shahid Kapoor’s Deva takes the ninth spot, with many eagerly awaiting the actor’s return to action after a string of romantic comedies. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Deva promises to be one of Shahid’s most promising films in recent times.
The eighth and seventh spots are taken by two highly anticipated South Indian films: L2: Empuraan and War 2. L2, directed by and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Mohan Lal, will release on March 27. War 2, the sequel to Ayan Mukherjee’s superhit film, boasts an impressive cast, including NTR Jr, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani, and promises a thrilling action-adventure ride when it releases on August 14.
Prabhas’s Raja Sahab takes the sixth spot, with the film finally scheduled to release on April 10, 2025, after facing several delays. Written and directed by Maruthi Dasari, the film has been making headlines for its star cast and production. It will release on April 10.
At the fifth spot is the fourth installment of the Baaghi franchise, directed by A Harsha and written by Rajat Arora. Starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt alongside beauties Sonam Bajwa, and Harnaaz Sandhu, Baaghi 4 promises to be an action-packed ride when it releases on September 5.
On fourth position is film from Akshay Kumar’s popular franchise Houseful. The fourth instalment of the Houseful universe will hit the screens on June 6. It stars and ensemble cast comprising Ritesh Deshmukh, Fadeen Khan, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan among others.

At the third position is Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar’s Coolie. The film, which is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, will hit the screens in May this year. It will feature talented actors including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and others.
Superstar Yash’s Toxic is at the second position, all thanks to the actor’s stardom after the success of KGF. The film has been highly-awaited and people have been holding breaths for every little update about the film. It will also feature lady superstar Nayanthara and Bollywood diva Kiara Advani. Release date for the film has not been announced yet.
Topping The List
The most-anticipated film of 2025, as revealed by IMDb is Salman Khan’s Sikander. The film will be Salman’s comeback after a long time, as he was last seen in Tiger 3. The actor has been busy shooting for it in Hyderabad, amid tight security. This is due to the death threats he has been receiving from Bishnoi gang members.
Sikander’s first look was released by the makers recently, and created a stir on social media. Salman looks promising as he takes the action game several notches higher. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film will see Rashmika Mandanna opposite bhai jaan. Also, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Agarwal and Sathyaraj will play pivotal roles.
