Shah Rukh Khan turned a year older yesterday and his fans were gathered outside his house to catch his glimpse. The superstar skipped his yearly ritual to greet his fans outside Mannat but expressed his gratitude towards them. He took to X (Twitter) and thanked his fans for their lovely wishes. For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan stands on his balcony every year on his birthday to greet his fans gathered outside his residence.
The actor wrote, “Thank you for coming over and making my evening special… my love to everyone who made it for my birthday. And for those who couldn’t, sending you all my love.” He also posted a picture of himself doing his iconic pose.
Meanwhile, Burj Khalifa screened Shah Rukh Khan’s image on its building to honour the actor on his birthday.
Shah Rukh Khan was recently in the news after he won the Best Actor Award at IIFA 2024 for his performance in ‘Jawan’. After winning, he won hearts with his heartwarming speech. He said, “I want to thank all other nominees – Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikrant Massey – he was great in the film – Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Paji. I think all of them were great, but I got an edge because people were happy that I worked after so long.”
He added, “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be out into a film. So I want to thank Gauri. She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way round. We were going through a tough time while making Jawan.” The actor also touched veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s feet after he won the award.
Directed by Atlee, ‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role with the supporting role by Deepika Padukone. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Riddhi Dogra, were seen in pivotal roles.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly work with his daughter Suhana Khan, who made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial ‘The Archies’. The official announcement regarding the project has not been made yet.
He was last seen in ‘Dunki’ with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
