Chhath Puja Bank Holidays: Bank To Be Closed For Four Consecutive Days In These States

As Chhath Puja approaches Banks in certain states to have four consecutive holidays. Schedule for 4 days’ bank holiday follows from 7th November to 10th November, 2024. Bank holidays in India is both state specified and universal with public and private banks.

 

Schedule for holidays follows closure of Bank on November 7 and 8 on occasion of Chhath Puja. And November 9 and 10 to have bank closure due to Nationwide Bank holiday as per RBI guidelines.

Four-Day Bank Holiday Schedule

November 7 (Thursday)- Chhath Puja: Bank closed in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

November 8 (Friday)- Chhath Puja Morning Arghya & Wangala festival: Bank will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya.

November 9 (Saturday)- Second Saturday: All banks closed nationwide as per RBI guidelines.

November 10 (Sunday): Nationwide closure.

November 3 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide.

November 15 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in certain states for Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima celebrations, affecting places such as Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and others.

November 17 (Sunday): National closure.

November 18 (Monday): Banks closed in Karnataka on occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti.

November 23 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday and Seng Kut Snem festival in Meghalaya.

November 24 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide.

Banking Tips During Chhath Puja Holidays

To avoid any kind of service disruption customer should complete the necessary banking transaction. Digital banking option will remain optional throughout the holidays.
