Its a historic day for New Zealand as this is the first time ever that the Kiwis beat India by 3-0. No other foreign team has done this but under the captaincy of Tom Latham, New Zealand has achieved this historic feat. Now it has become even more tough for India to qualify for WTC final.

Ajaz Patel’s Heroics Propel New Zealand Towards Victory

Ajaz Patel took his five wicket haul, following which he took Rishabh Pant’s wicket which turned out to be the most priced one. In total he took 11 wickets in the 3rd Test, this also makes him the most successful overseas bowler in India.

Rishabh Pant’s Efforts In Vain

Rishabh Pant was the sole warrior from India’s side, he scored 64 off 57 balls, while he was playing India’s hopes to win the 3rd Test looked bright but he was was caught in a very unfortunate dismissal when Ajaz Patel was bowling.

Ravindra Jadeja’s 10-Wicket Haul

Ravindra Jadeja also completed his 10-wicket haul while helping India bowl out New Zealand for 174 as the third Test match coming to its final day in Mumbai. New Zealand began the day at 171/9, and Jadeja started off with strikes. Jadeja picked five wickets in both innings.

Historic Win For New Zealand

This is the first time that India has suffered a home series sweep since losing 2-0 to South Africa back in 2000, making things all the more challenging for Rohit Sharma’s men as they prepare to face Australia in a five-match series in Australia. This series victory is historical to New Zealand, which it has won for the very first time in the land of India since the opening tour in 1955. It also brought the winning streak of 18 consecutive home series by India to an end that hadn’t been broken since it lost to England back in 2012. A win by eight wickets in the first Test over Bengaluru and another three-wicket win over the second Test in Pune give the Black Caps the feat of a lifetime on its cricketing journey.
