Sangeeta Bijlani Accuses Salman Khan Of Restricting Her In The Relationship? Says, “I Was Not Allowed…’

Sangeeta Bijlani recently spoke about one of the most important things in her life during her stint on Indian Idol 15. In one candid moment, Sangeeta shared how Salman used to influence her wardrobe.

When asked if she would do things differently if given a choice, Sangeeta said, “Back then, I was pretty restricted. My ex (mimics Salman) wouldn’t let me wear short dresses. There was a rule—this length, that neckline. I couldn’t wear what I wanted. I was shy and reserved then. But now, I’m fearless. I’ve grown, and I’m not the same person anymore.”

While Sangeeta did not explicitly mention Salman’s name, fans were quick to fill in the gaps. The playfulness of the segment was complemented by host Vishal Dadlani as he cheekily mimicked Salman’s iconic style, further adding to the intrigue.

A Romance That Defined An Era

The couple, Salman and Sangeeta, are arguably one of Bollywood’s greatest love stories; the two fell in love at an early age while shooting a television commercial. The two got engaged and and even came close to getting married before they called off the deal and parted ways.

Although they broke up, Sangeeta and Salman remain very amicable. Sangeeta is often seen in Salman’s family gatherings as her friendship with Salman through the years remained intact.

On Moving Forward Ad Growing

Reflecting on her personal growth, Sangeeta shared, “Connections never break. Love, whether with partners or friends, always stays. People come and go, but bitterness isn’t the answer. I’ve learned from my experiences and evolved. Life is all about growth.”

After her relationship with Salman ended, Sangeeta married cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin in 1996. The marriage lasted over two decades before ending in 2019. Today, Sangeeta looks back on the journey, all the wisdom and strength that life has given her.
