At the finals Suruchi scored 243.6 points to secure her second gold from the Jhajjar location after starting her first World Cup win with the season’s inaugural global event recently. This placed her 1.3 points ahead of Manu in second position overall. Chinese shooter Yao Qianxun settled with bronze. Suruchi Inder Singh maintained her exceptional performance in the 10m air pistol for a consecutive ISSF World Cup gold medal, defeating Manu Bhaker by 1.3 points to rule the competition. During the 24-shot final of the World Cup event Suruchi from Jhajjar secured 243.6 points which placed her 1.3 points ahead of Manu who captured silver. Yao Qianxun from China obtained bronze medal status. Yao Qianxun secured the third place for China in this competition.

Inder Singh chose her to start sports training because he wanted her to pursue the sport. During my childhood I dreamed of becoming an athlete because financial need forced me to join the army. My deepest desire was to see her achieve greatness as a sportsperson despite my father making the initial decision. Inder announced his plan to make his newborn daughter play sports when she first breathed. He served the Indian army until 2019 as a retired havaldar in the Punjab regiment. At that moment Inder chose to bring his daughter to the Bhiwani Dronacharya Shooting Academy because Suresh had established a strong reputation as a premier coach.
“I was Manu Bhaker’s first coach. She came to my academy because we were the first to have the SIUS digital meters. But she progressed so fast that she joined the national camp and then began training in Delhi,” Suresh says.

Initial Achievements

Suruchi uses the exhausting four-hour daily shooting practice and three-hour commute through train to turn both activities into successful outcomes. She achieved her first junior World Cup appearance in Suhl during 2023 after winning bronze in team competition and ranking sixth in individual category. Suruchi has participated in Asian junior championships twice during 2023 and 2024.
