Samay Raina has been been involved in a controversy due to his popular YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’ and is still facing the heat of it. For the unversed, netizens demanded the ban on the show after a comment by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in one of the episodes went viral. Samay’s upcoming shows in Delhi have reportedly been cancelled due to this backlash and legal proceedings.

As per a report by Hindustan Times, Samay Raina’s ‘Unfiltered’ has been cancelled just a few days before its scheduled date. BookMyShow, the platform from which people made bookings, reportedly sent a message to attendees to inform them about the cancellation and refund process.

The message reads, “Your Samay Raina Unfiltered – Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Fri Mar 21 2025 (or Sun Mar 23 2025) 7:00 PM at Talkatora Stadium Delhi has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have processed the refund for the amount…The refund should reflect in 7 to 10 working days.”

Samay Raina’s Unfiltered was supposed to take place at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on March 21 and March 23. Earlier, his show in Gujarat was also cancelled.

About The Controversy:

YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija appeared on India’s Got Latent as guests. The backlash was caused due to Ranveer’s question for one contestant as he said, “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?”

The controversy escalated when the complaint were also filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission for allegedly using abusive language on the show. All Indian Cine Workers’ Associations (AICWA) wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding a ban on ‘India’s Got Latent’ and legal action against its creators.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has now allowed Ranveer to resume releasing his podcast ‘The Ranveer Show’. The SC also asked him to maintain the ‘morality and decency’ in his podcast.
