Ranveer Singh goes ‘Gangsta Gangu’ while Kareena Kapoor lauds Alia Bhatt after Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer release

Yesterday, the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi was dropped online by the makers and in no time it turned out to be a social media blockbuster. Alia Bhatt’s bravura performance as the brothel owner of Kamathipura, Gangubai, garnered praises from all.

Apart from fans, we saw celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and others showering love on Alia Bhatt for her impeccable act. And the latest to join the bandwagon are Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor.

Yes, just like other stars, these two celebs too took social media to pen beautiful words for Alia and her much-awaited fim Gangubai Kathiawadi. Taking to his Insta-stories, Ranveer shared a pic of Alia from Gangubai Kathiawadi and wrote “GANGSTA GANGU”. He added that the combo of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt is fire. The Brahmastra actress reshared the story and wrote, “talented tutu”.

Post the trailer launch of Gangubai Kathiawadi, we saw social media users predicting that Alia will take away all the awards for her impeccable act in the crime drama.

Yesterday, Mahesh Bhatt conveyed a heartfelt message to Alia through ETimes and said, “Remain what you are. Don’t try to be different from what you are, even for a moment. Only then you will begin to share your ‘fragrance’. Your need to be accepted by the world makes you give in. A flower does not preach. A weed does not want to be a rose. It does not care if you do not praise it or even crush it. The model is the problem.”

Based on Hussain Zaidi’s novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh, Seema Pahwa and others in pivotal roles. It is directed by Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ramleela, Devdas, Black, Guzaarish and Khamoshi helmer Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is set to hit the screens on February 25 and will release in Telugu dubbed version.
