It was on June 4, 2021, when reports about Pearl V Puri getting arrested in a rape case surfaced online and many were unable to believe it. Earlier, it was taken as a rumour but later, when Pearl was spotted outside the police station with the police, the news got confirmed. Pearl was taken into judicial custody for allegedly raping a minor a few years back. 

Post his arrest, there were many attempts made by his lawyers to take bail but all failed. And now, as per the latest development, the actor has been granted bail. The actor was arrested under the POCSO act after an FIR was filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl by her father. 

And now, while talking to SpotboyE, Pearl’s lawyer confirmed that the actor has been granted bail. He was quoted as saying, “Yes, he has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court.”

Ever since Pearl has been arrested, the alleged rape case has seen many twists and turns. While the alleged victim’s mother calls Pearl innocent, her father demands strict actions to be taken against him. Many celebs came forward and stood by Pearl’s side and said that he is innocent. 

Even the minor’s mother and her extended family took to social media and shared long notes, expressing that Pearl is innocent and the case has been filed by the minor’s father to prove that her mother is not capable of handling her. For the unversed, in his complaint, the minor’s father has claimed that Pearl, along with a few others sexually assaulted his daughter while her mother was busy shooting. As per the complaint, the incident took place during the shoot of Ekta Kapoor’s Bepanah Pyaar Hai.   

A part of the note that the minor’s mother and her extended family wrote reads, “We as the extended family would like to let you all know that she (minor’s mother) has been in an extremely toxic marriage for 10 years and does not have her daughter also since 2 years. We including her support Pearl V Puri and hope that justice will come out soon. She is totally shattered and shall find her ground to come out in the open. She needs your support fully as she herself supports Pearl Puri because Pearl is innocent.” 

The note further stated that Pearl has been “unnecessarily framed”. 

Earlier, a call recording between Ekta Kapoor and the minor’s mother went viral and in the same as well, she has claimed that Pearl is being framed and he is innocent.
