Muslims and Christians will associate with RSS in future, says Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa; Congress hits back

Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa  sparked a row while speaking in the Assembly saying that all Muslims and Christians in the country will one day associate themselves with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The minister made this statement after the Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah talked about the RSS while speaking about his personal equations with some BJP leaders and ministers.
“Personal relations are important, and then comes party differences – BJP, RSS, Congress and others,” the Congress leader said.
Responding to this, Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri asked Siddaramaiah why was he feeling troubled about “our RSS”.
While Siddaramaiah tried to clarify that he was not speaking by attaching any feelings, Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan asked how the Speaker can say “our RSS” while sitting on that chair.
Responding to this, the Speaker said, “Yes….it is Our RSS. RSS is ours…Zameer, I am telling you one thing, if not today someday in the future, in our country, even you will have to say – our RSS –definitely.”
Objecting to the Speaker’s statement, Congress MLA Priyank Kharge said “you had then claimed you are for the Constitution, now you are saying that you are in favour of RSS.”
He also claimed that RSS during protest had burnt the constitution at the Ramlila Maidan in the past, as they wanted ‘Manusmriti’.
Manuwad will get established in India because of the RSS: Siddaramaiah
Rejecting his claim, the Speaker told Kharge to do politics outside the Assembly.
After this remark, many Congress legislators including Khan said that day would never come and they would never say “our RSS”.
Siddaramiah also said that ‘Manuwad’ will get established in this country, because of the RSS.
Defending the Speaker and countering the Congress, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said, RSS has become omnipresent and said that President Ram Nath Kovind, M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are all from RSS.
