Rashmika Mandanna has teamed up with Vicky Kaushal for the periodic drama film ‘Chhaava’. She will essay the role of Maharani Yesubai in the movie and the makers have finally unveiled her first look from the movie. ‘Chhaava’ will release in theatres on February 14, 2025, and its trailer will also be out soon.

Sharing Rashmika’s first look on Instagram, the makers wrote, “Behind every great king, there stands a queen of unmatched strength. Introducing @rashmika_mandanna as Maharani Yesubai – the pride of Swarajya. #ChhaavaTrailer Out Tomorrow! Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025.”
Meanwhile, unveiling Vicky Kaushal’s new poster from ‘Chhaava’, the makers wrote, “Agni bhi woh, Paani bhi woh, Toofan bhi woh, Sher Shiva ka #CHHAAVA hai woh! ChhaavaTrailer out on 22nd January! Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025.”
While speaking to Mid-Day, Director Laxman Utekar talked about his decision to make this movie. He said, “When I started reading about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, I realised that he was a great warrior, but no one has made a film on him.”
“Most books on Sambhaji are in Marathi, and not available in any other language. That could be a reason why a film or series on him has been rarely attempted. Not many filmmakers could read extensively about him,” he added.
Laxman and Vicky have worked together in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. On the work front, Vicky will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love & War’, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
