Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lock Upp is all set to end tonight. The OTT show, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, started with 20 contestants with six finalists – Prince Narula, Shivam Sharma, Munawar Faruqui, Anjali Arora, Payal Rohatgi and Azma Fallah – entering the grand finale episode.
With less than 24 hours for the winner to be announced, several promos of the show are being released by the makers to give the audience a glimpse of the starry episode.
Contestants who were evicted in the 70-day reality show are Saisha Shinde, Poonam Pandey, Kaaranvir Bohra, Ali Merchant, Zeeshan Khan, Mandana Karimi, Nisha Rawal, Sara Khan, Vinit Kakar, Babita Phogat, Swami Chakrapani, Tehseen Poonawalla, Siddhartha Sharma and Chetan Hansraj.
Ekta Kapoor took to Instagram and shared a video of herself expressing excitement for the finale. In the video, she is heard saying, “I am super excited for the finale of Lock Upp. May the best man woman win! Thankyou for the love that the reality show has been getting.. it’s truly overwhelming and wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s support.”
Kangana gave the audience a sneak peek of the outfit that she is wearing for the finale episode. The diva opted for a gorgeous sparkly white gown with a thigh-high sit and an off-shoulder dramatic sleeves with a corset detailing.
In the caption, she wrote, “Bad ass finale tonight …. Find out who will be the winner of India’s biggest reality show , Lockupp season one … tonight at 10:30pm @altbalaji @mxplayer”
Over the past few days, the show made headlines for a plagiarism accusation. A while back, an FIR was filed against Ekta Kapoor. Hyderabad Civil Court has passed an order against Ekta’s show after conducting a trial and checking for documents of Abdul Haleem Baig aka Sanober Baig. He has gone on to claim that he owns the rights to the concept of a show titled The Jail and Lock Upp has been inspired by the same.
