The untimely demise of British singer Liam Payne has left his fans and the music industry in shock and grief. He passed away on October 16 after he fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina. According to the latest reports, the former One Direction member had multiple substances in his system at the time of his death.

As per ABC, the Toxicology report of Payne revealed that the late singer also had a drug known as ‘pink cocaine’ in his system. According to the website WebMD, Pink Cocaine does not entirely contain cocaine but has a powdery mix of ketamine and illegal substances likely dyed with food coloring. The report further claimed that an improvised aluminum pipe, used to ingest drugs, was also found in his hotel room.

Before Liam Payne’s death, the hotel’s chief receptionist made a 911 call and asked the authorities to send some after being concerned about his behaviour.

According to Local Argentine outlet La Nacion, the chief receptionist was quoted as saying, “Well, we have a guest who is over the moon on drugs and alcohol. And, well, he’s… When he’s conscious, he’s breaking up, he’s breaking up the whole room. And, well, we need you to send someone, please.”

After Liam’s tragic demise, One Direction members penned heartfelt notes for their former bandmate and expressed their grief. Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson said in a joint statement, “The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”

Zayn Malik also postponed his tour dates following Payne’s tragic death.
