Actor, director, producer, and politician Prakash Raj is one of the biggest and the most powerful stars in the southern cinema industry. The multi-talented actor will be undergoing surgery at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
On Tuesday, Prakash took to his Twitter handle to reveal that he has sustained a tiny fracture. He assured his fans that there is nothing to worry about and asked them to keep him in their prayers.
Sharing an update about his health, he wrote, “A small fall.. a tiny fracture.. flying to Hyderabad into the safe hands of my friend Dr Guruvareddy for a surgery. I will be fine nothing to worry about.. keep me in your thoughts (sic)
Prakash Raj was last seen playing the lead role in director Bejoy Nambiar’s Edhiri, one of the nine short films in Navarasa. The actor has a slew of films in the pipeline at different stages of production. Major, KGF: Chapter 2, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe, Vishal-starrer Enemy, Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Mani Ratnam’s epic multi-starrer Ponniyin Selvan are the projects in Prakash Raj’s lineup.
Recently, The actor has been roped in to play an important role in Dhanush’s upcoming film with Mithran Jawahar titled Thiruchitrambalam. The actor was also present at the film’s pooja in Chennai on August 5. The film’s shooting commenced in Chennai last week.
The multi-talented actor has won 5 National Awards and 5 Filmfare Awards for his immeasurable contribution to cinema across several languages. He has also won 4 Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for best villain, and one state award as the best character actor. He also acted villain in Hindi films like Singham, Dabangg 2 and Mumbai Mirror.
On the work front, Prakash Raj is contesting in the upcoming Movie Artistes Association (MAA) elections. He is heading a panel and he is the presidential candidate for the MAA.
