Kabir Bedi has lived life king size. When we talk about the most popular stars of the 70s and 80s, people usually think of Rajesh Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra and Dharmendra. Not many know about Kabir Bedi who had made a mark in Bollywood and Hollywood. After completing a half-century in the film industry, the tall, dark and handsome theatre artist turned actor has penned his memoir. Titled, Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life Of An Actor, Kabir’s autobiography chronicles the ups and downs, Kabir went through in his movie career and also talks about his tumultuous relationships.

The actor who has always made headlines for his love life revealed exclusively to Times Now Digital, about one thing from his life that he would like to change.

The veteran actor said, “I would not trust people as I did in the past. People whom I was close to betrayed me and I suffered greatly. I would change two things. I would change the way I am with money. You need to be responsible as it is a risky industry. I would change the way I handled money”, he said.

In the same interview, Kabir revealed that he feels his memoir is about love, loss, milestones and mistakes. “Once I decided to write my book, whether I wanted to sugar coat it or tell it like it is, was a choice. The real story of my life was not just about my milestones but also of my mistakes. It was also about my regrets. Once I decided to tell it, told it. This is my story and I believe it was never told”, he remarked.

The actor further spoke about the favourite chapter from the memoir, which he wants audiences to know about. Every chapter has its thrill. From my interview with Beatles to Protima; to my son, beliefs, all my years in Hollywood. What can I choose?”, he said.

For the unversed, Kabir and Protima Bedi’s son had committed suicide in 1997, at the age of 25. He was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. As per media reports, Protima had suffered from depression, after she had lost her son. She had left for a pilgrimage to the Himalayas. In 1998, she was found dead in the mishap at Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Protima was Kabir’s first wife and the duo had a love marriage. Their marriage hit the rocks in the late 1970s and it was around 1977 when they had separated.
