The moment we thought that things are finally getting better, the nation got hit by a new COVID-19 wave. In the past few weeks, many celebrities including Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, Rhea Kapoor and more have tested positive for coronavirus. Earlier today, Bollywood actor John Abraham took to Instagram to share that he and his wife Priya Runchal have also contracted the virus.
The actor went on to share that he and his wife have quarantined themselves and are experiencing mild symptoms. The actor also requested fans to mask up and stay safe.
John’s statement, which was shared as his Instagram story read, “I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home so haven’t been in contact with anyone else.”
“We are both vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up,” he added.
Meanwhile, a few days back, theatres were also shut down in Delhi because of the COVID-19 scare. New restrictions are also being announced in different parts of the country. Amid this, release dates of movies like RRR and Jersey have been pushed ahead. Since the pandemic began, many films have also been released on different OTT platforms.
Coming back to John, the actor was last seen in Satyameva Jayate 2, which was written and directed by Milap Zaveri with production by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment. The movie also starred Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai and Anup Soni in important roles and featured John in a triple role.
Next up, the actor has some interesting projects coming up. He will be soon headlining Lakshya Raj Anand’s Attack, the teaser of which released last month. He will also be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Pathan.
