Jacqueline Fernandez was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress allegedly told the agency that she received several gifts from him, who had earlier claimed that they dated in the past.
The Bhoot Police actress allegedly told ED that Sukesh had hired private jets for her and even booked helicopter rides. As per a report by India Today, a copy of Jacqueline’s answers to the ED’s questions in connection with the case was accessed.
Jacqueline reportedly revealed that someone from the government office had asked her to get in touch with Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who she knew as Shekhaar Ratna Vela.
“So, I contacted him and he introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV along with his family. He also said he was from a political family of Jayalalithaa and they are from Chennai. He said he was a big fan of mine, and that I should do films in the South and as Sun TV they have many projects lined up. From that time, me and him were in touch,” the actress told ED, as per the report.
She further alleged that she got in touch with Sukeh via Whatsapp calls and introduced him to her friends and family.
From receiving two Gucci outfits for gym wear to getting flowers every day, Jacqueline told the agency about the gifts she was given by Sukesh Chadrasekhar.
She alleged that she “received limited edition perfumes. Veen alkaline water bottles every week. Flowers every other day, chocolates from different places. I received approximately three designer bags from Gucci, Chanel, two Gucci outfits for gym wear, a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a bracelet of multi colored stones, two Hermes bracelets.”
As per the report, Jacqueline said that she received a Mini Cooper from Sukesh but she requested him to take it back. The actress further alleged that she met Sukesh in June 2021. He had sent a private jet for the actress from Mumbai to Chennai.
“He did not meet me at the airport but had sent an assistant. I reached the Hyatt hotel and Shekhar arrived an hour after that. We had lunch together in the dining room and chatted in the living room area of the suite. The next day, he came back to the hotel and ordered some breakfast. After breakfast, he dropped me at the airport. And I returned back to Mumbai in private jet,” the actress told the ED, according to the report.
