The Mega Auction for IPL 2025 is expected to be scheduled at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 24 and 25 November. As stated by sources, all is well and set to move ahead with preparations. And then, BCCI would give a confirmation shortly.

When Will IPL Auction Be Held?

The problem is that the auction is scheduled at a time when India plays its first Test against Australia in Perth, from November 22 to 26. Disney Star, which has the broadcasting rights for both the IPL and the India-Australia Test series, would like to avoid any scheduling conflict. The good news is that the time difference with Australia might allow the auction to be held in the afternoon (IST), thus helping avoid direct clashes with the match broadcast.

Who Are The Priced Catch In IPL 2025 Auction?

Excitement for the mega auction to be held as part of IPL 2025 continues to build as franchises head into preparation and strategy over crucial bids in the hunt for the most valuable names that are up for the grab, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Arshdeep Singh and Ishan Kishan are the top players who’ll be in the auction pool and franchises will definitely be aiming to bring them in. These are players who are great with bat, have the leadership potential, and are a brilliant fielder. They become prime targets for any franchise to strengthen their squad ahead of the season.

All Eyes On Pant, Rahul And Iyer

Competition is going to be stiff in fetching the five stars with competition among teams as franchises like the Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, and the Chennai Super Kings announce retained players. Explosive wicket-keeping-batting ability in Pant promises leadership in Iyer and reliability with the bat in Rahul.

BCCI To Finalise The Venue

According to reports, officials from the BCCI have even taken pre-tour visits of the Saudi Arabia for prospective venue scouting. Another meeting with the Saudi authorities in is scheduled on Monday that is expected to seal off final deals. The previous speculations had named the host city as Jeddah, but now Saudi appears to be more prominently nominated as the probable site to hold the two-day Indian Cricket auction. Other potential global venues considered by BCCI were Dubai, Singapore and even Vienna. It would appear that Saudi emerged the frontrunner for consideration in this case.

The auction outside India will mean that IPL franchises are pushing the BCCI to announce the venue and dates as soon as possible.
