Ravindra Jadeja was the star for India as he bagged a 10-wicket haul and bundled up New Zealand for 174 runs. But the eventful start didn’t last for long as India’s batting lineup has again crumbled and its very alarming as the top batters have been dismissed. Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Matt Henry at the very start providing New Zealand their first breakthrough. Following which the wickets fell in quick succession. Yashasvi Jaiswal (5), Shubman Gill (1), Virat Kohli (1) and Sarfaraz Khan (1).

Ajaz Patel has gained the spotlight, he has spun his strong web and trapped the Indian batters. The struggle for India is now getting even worse as New Zealand are on the verge of an historic clean sweep. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are now on the crease and a strong partnership is required in order to get back into the game.

Even though the target of 147 runs seems achievable but India’s batting needs to step up after facing a massive top-order collapse.

Earlier, at the start of Day 3, Jadeja bagged 5/55 in the 2nd innings taking his overall tally of wickets to 10. This was the third 10-wicket haul of his career.
