The Krrish franchise has been one of the most iconic and successful superhero series in Bollywood, winning over the hearts of generations of moviegoers.  Fans eagerly awaiting Krrish 4 were disappointed as the film remains in development limbo for now. Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently admitted in an interview that securing huge funds for the movie as indeed been troublesome for him.

The Krrish franchise, featuring Hrithik Roshan, is one of the most successful superhero series to come out of Bollywood. But each time, the scale of production and the demands on visual effects have skyrocketed. Rakesh Roshan said the high budget to achieve the film’s ambitious vision has been the biggest hurdle.

In an interview with gaana, Rakesh Roshan said “Budgeting thoda ho nahi raha picture ka scale bada karta hu toh visuals sahi nahi lagte. So i have to be very careful. Hume kahani pe zyada kaam kar rahe kyunki budget itna hai nahi. Halaki bade bade sequences honge film me 10 nahi honge toh 2 honge..”

Why Krrish 4 Needs A Massive Budget?

Major superhero movies call for an enormous budget because of visual effects and action sequences, besides high production. VFX-driven Bollywood has gone up in recent times, but it doesn’t come without a steep price to at least match Hollywood standards. Rakesh Roshan explained that to do justice to the legacy of Krrish, they need a substantial budget that is proving difficult to secure.

When Will Krrish 4 Happen?

Despite the financial hurdles, Rakesh Roshan is positive about making Krrish 4 a reality. He was assure to the fans that he is working hard in getting the required funds and will bring back the superhero saga in the big screen sooner.

For now, the fans have to be patient and hope that Bollywood’s favorite superhero will return to make his long-awaited comeback sooner.
