Even as daily new COVID-19 cases continue to show a decline during the second wave of coronavirus, the central government on Tuesday warned that globally, the third wave of COVID is being seen witnessed and we have to make efforts to ensure it does not happen in India.
Addressing a press briefing of the Union health ministry, Lav Agarwal who is posted as the Joint Secretary in the ministry warned people against being complacent and asked them to follow strictly COVID-19 protocols to keep the pandemic in control.
Referring to the mad rush in markets across the country and hill stations like Shimla, Manali and Mussoorie, the governmnet said that gross violations of Covid-appropriate behaviour are being observed in several parts of the country which can nullify the gains made so far against the deadly contagious virus.
