A couple of days ago, fans were left worried when reports began doing the rounds that Abhishek Bachchan has been admitted to a hospital and will be undergoing surgery. Get well wishes soon started pouring in for the actor when Amitabh Bachchan and sister Shweta were snapped at the hospital too. It was later revealed that the younger Bachchan suffered an accident while shooting for his next film in Chennai.

Abhishek Bachchan
The actor was busy shooting for a film in Chennai. But due to a freak accident on the sets of the film, the actor flew down to Mumbai, got an emergency surgery done to fix his hand, and was back to Chennai to resume shooting. Sharing a picture, AB Jr wrote, “Had a freak accident in Chennai on the set of my new film last Wednesday. Fractured my right hand. Needed surgery to fix it! So a quick trip back home to Mumbai. Surgery done, all patched-up and casted. And now back in Chennai to resume work. As they say… The show must go on! And as my father said…. Mard ko dard nahin hota! Ok, ok, ok it hurt a little. Thank you all for your wishes and get-well-soon messages.”
Amitabh Bachchan
Many, many years before AB Jr’s accident, his superstar father Big B suffered a fatal accident on the sets of his 1983 film Coolie. He was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo surgeries. Post that, his battle to complete recovery was also very long. The actor was shooting in Bangalore University campus with Puneet Issar for a fight scene when the accident occurs.
Shah Rukh Khan
SRK has been spotted with an arm cast on various occasions. But while filming for Happy New Year in Juhu’s JW Mariott, a door fell on his arm and he was rushed to the nearby Nanavati Hospital after the arm began bleeding. But even before this, SRK got injured while shooting for Chennai Express. He then took off to London to undergo surgery.
Hrithik Roshan
Bollywood’s beloved Duggu suffered a head injury while shooting for Bang Bang. Despite the injury, Hrithik completed shooting for the film and was later admitted to the hospital to undergo surgery for subdural hematoma (blood clot). The actor was also earlier injured while shooting for Agneepath. His father Rakesh Roshan had later told PTI, “He is doing fine now. He has been shifted to a room and will be discharged in two days.”
John Abraham
John was shooting for high-octane action sequences for Force 2. During one such scene, he injured his knee and suffered a blood clot that had to surgically be removed.
