‘Enemies Of God’: Iran’s Top Cleric Issues Fatwa Against Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu

Iran’s Shia religious leader Grand Ayatollah Nasir Makarim Shirazi has issued a fatwa against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In this fatwa, both have been described as “enemies of God” and the Muslim community has been appealed to take strict action against them.

Fatwa

Along with this, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamdani also issued a fatwa saying that anyone who threatens Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be considered an enemy of God. It is being told that Shia religious leaders are very angry with Khamenei being targeted, and this is why these fatwas have come to the fore.

At present, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei is living in a safe bunker with his family. He has warned America and Israel that if their nucler bases are attacked again, Iran will retaliate with all its might and target America’s military bases in the middle east. Khamenei has also appealed to the countrymen to celebrate the ‘victory’ over Israel.

Responding to this threat of Khamenei, US President Donald Trump made a statement. He called Khamenei ‘ungrateful’ and said that if Iran again tries or plans to make nuclear weapons, then America will attack more intensely than this. Trump also said that America and Isreal know Khamenei’s whereabouts and have saved his life, but Khamenei is giving threats instead of expressing gratitude.

This conflict between Iran and Israel lasted for 12 days. It is worth noting that Iran’s nuclear program has been a matter of controversy for a long time. Israel and America do not want Iran to make nuclear weapons, that is why on June 12, Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear bases. In response, Iran also attacked with missiles. This confrontation between the two countries continued for 12 days in the form of missile and drone attacks. On the 11th day, America bombed Iran’s nuclear centers and destroyed them. On the 13th day, America brought about a ceasefire with the mediation of Qatar. Israel is calm after the ceasefire, but the bitter rhetoric between Iran and America is still continuing.
