‘Hera Pheri 3’ made the audience excited with the news of the OG trio, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, returning to the franchise. However, fans were left disappointed when Paresh Rawal announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3 and it also led to Akshay Kumar sending him a legal notice. It seems like all is well between Paresh and Akshay and the actor is likely to return to the franchise.
Talking about the controversy around his exit from Hera Pheri 3, Paresh Rawal told Himanshu Mehta on his podcast, “Nahi controversy kuch nahi hai (There’s no controversy). I believe that when people have loved something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility toward the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can’t take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko do (Work hard and give them the film).”
He added, “So I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aaye, mehnat karein. Aur kuch nahin (Everyone should come together, work hard). It is all resolved now.”
Further confirming his return to the third part of this franchise, Paresh Rawal said, “Pehle bhi aane hi waali thi (Earlier too the film was scheduled to release), but it’s just that we had to fine-tune ourselves. After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years.”
Earlier, Akshay Kumar also reacted to Paresh’s exit from Hera Pheri 3 and slammed those who called the actor ‘foolish’. He said, “Sabse pehle toh mein aap ko kahunga ki using this kind of word for one of my co-stars, like a foolish word or something, I would not appreciate it. I would say that that’s not right. I’ve worked with him for the last 32 years. We are very good friends. He’s a great actor. I really admire him.”
“Jo bhi kuch hai, I don’t think so this is a place where I’m going to talk about it. Whatever has to happen, it’s a very serious matter. It is a matter that is going to be heard by the court. So I don’t think I’m going to speak about it here,” he further added.
Akshay, Paresh and Suniel played the role of Raju, Babu Rao and Shyam respectively in the Hera Pheri 3 franchise.
