The Duleep Trophy 2024 has started with a bang. On one hand, India A is facing India B, while on the other hand, India C is competing with India D. On the very first day, most of the batters proved to be a flop, which increased the tension of Team India before the Test series with Bangladesh, but the players performed well in bowling.

Especially if we talk about fast bowler Harshit Rana, he presented a wonderful bowling spectacle on the first day. But after taking the wicket, Harshit did not stop doing his act which he did during IPL 2024, after which he was also reprimanded.

Harshit Rana’s ‘Flying Kiss’ Gesture

During the match between India C and India D, when India C captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was batting, the bowler in front of him was Harshit Rana. Ruturaj Gaikwad was having difficulty batting in front of Harshit Rana’s brilliant bowling. After which Gaikwad got out on Rana’s ball. After dismissing Gaikwad, Harshit made a ‘flying kiss’ gesture towards him. After this, the question arose in the minds of the fans whether BCCI would take any action against Harshit. Let us tell you, while bowling on the first day, Harshit took 2 wickets for 13 runs in 7 overs.

Where It All Began?

When the match was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. In this match, Rana took the wicket of Sunrisers batter Mayank Agarwal and gestured a flying kiss towards him. After this, Harshit Rana was found guilty under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. After this, Harshit Rana was fined. Former Indian legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was also seen getting angry at this act of Harshit.

However, even after this, Harshit Rana did not stop his antics. Once again in IPL, Harshit tried to repeat this kind of antics. After dismissing Abhishek Porel of Delhi Capitals, Harshit made a flying kiss gesture towards the dugout. After which Harshit was fined 100 percent match fee and banned for one match.
