A large-scale drug operation led to the seizure of MD drugs and their production materials, valued at ₹1,814 crore, from a factory located near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Two suspects have been arrested as part of this operation.
Joint Operation by Law Enforcement
The operation was a collaborative effort between the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Delhi. Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, announced the details through a post on X, praising the effective coordination between the agencies.
Significance of the Seizure
Sanghavi highlighted that MD drugs are synthetic substances that mimic the effects of stimulants such as methamphetamine. He commended the law enforcement agencies for their relentless work in the fight against drug trafficking and addiction, emphasizing the critical role they play in ensuring public health and safety.

The minister reiterated the importance of supporting law enforcement in their endeavors to combat drug-related crimes.
