Earlier today, the legendary actor was admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of breathing issues. Fans were left worried and wanted an update when a tweet from his official Twitter handle (handled by the actor’s manager) hinted that everything is being taken care of.
The tweet about Dilip Kumar surely acted as a pacifier. The same could be read, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe”.
However, as per the latest ETimes report, Dilip Kumar has been put on oxygen support. The legendary actor has been diagnosed with “bilateral pleural effusion along with a drop in oxygen saturation”. His doctor, Dr Jalil Parkar shared with the publication, “But he is stable and not in the ICU. If all goes well, he may be discharged in 2-3 days.
There have been lots of health rumours going on about Dilip Kumar. Last year, Dilip Kumar lost both of his brothers. He did not celebrate his birthday due to the same reason. Saira Banu had shared in an interview that the actor was not informed of his brothers’ demise immediately after they passed away.
