The banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) released a plan to ‘spread influence in the country’s urban centres with open and secret organisations infiltrating and inciting agitations and mass revolution against the government’ as a celebration of the party’s 18th anniversary from September 21 to September 27.
Not only this, but the group even claimed to have infiltrated into the farmers’ agitation in Delhi which compelled the government to repeal the three farm laws.
“The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) invites the ranks of all the party cadres and PLGA Revolutionary People’s Committees to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the party’s revolution in rural and urban areas across the country,” a press release by the CPI(M) noted.
The group further cadres to ‘intensify guerilla warfare to liberate Dandkaranya, which includes eastern Vidarbha’s Gadchiroli and Gondia, Bihar Jharkhand and adjoining areas’ as part of the party’s 18th-anniversary celebrations.
“On the occasion of the party’s 18th anniversary, the Center Committee humbly presents revolutionary red salutations to the comrades who laid down their lives for the liberation of the people, including the founding leaders of the party, Com. Charu Majumdar, Com. Kanhai Chatterjee. The Central Committee further expresses sympathy to the injured PLGA warriors and hopes that these comrades will recover as soon as possible and will again step into the fire of the people’s war,” the official statement by the party added.
“The Hindutva fascist Modi government in India, while implementing globalization policies, has kept the country subjugated on the one hand while speaking about self-reliance. As long as there is social oppression, pressure and discrimination, the oppressed classes, sections and nationalities will continue to struggle. In this circumstance, on the occasion of the party’s 18th anniversary, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) takes an oath that by strengthening the class struggles, the people’s struggles will move forward firmly on the path of long-term people’s war,” the statement further read.
