Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra gave an eye opener to Pakistan after India’s stance on not travelling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025 was questioned. He posted a video on X, formerly Twitter where he clearly stated about the ongoing security concerns in Pakistan and the heavy risk that looms over.
Aakash Chopra Gives A Fiery Reply To All The Questions
In his YouTube video Chopra said that: “People are asking, All the other teams are coming, why is India not going? What’s the problem? Is India bullying other boards? Just stop this and try and understand, and think objectively.“
Threat Perception Of Every Country Is Different
“First see what’s happening in your country, and everyone’s threat perception is going to be different.”
“For example, in 2003 England did not go to Zimbabwe, despite the other countries going they conceded their points, they clearly mentioned that their threat perception is very different.”
Aakash Chopra highlighted that every country has their own treat perception and in 2003 England also did not travel to Zimbabwe because they had a different threat perception hence, the ongoing situation between India and Pakistan should not be combined in one shelf. The terror situation in Pakistan has also been deteriorating as the recent attacks in Islamabad have made the situation even worse, because of this Sri Lanka A also cancelled their tour to Pakistan.
“Look After What’s Happening In Your Country”
“The story of India-Pakistan is very different, you’re just combining apple and oranges. Please look after the situation in your country, Sri Lanka A’s match was postponed.”
“All the terror attacks including the deaths that have solely happened in November have seen a 69-70% increase.”
“Agar aap ghar pe saanp paalte ho ki vo padosi ko jaake dassenge toh kabhi vo khud ko bhi dass dete hai, so don’t be a sapera” Aakash Chopra gave a strong take on the increase in terror attacks in Pakistan.
India Will Play In Hybrid Model, Says Chopra
“India has made it clear that they’ll not go to Pakistan and play, an official confirmation will also come soon where it will be mentioned that India will play in hybrid model in Dubai.”
“If you don’t want to come then don’t, nothing will be affected the broadcaster rights will have no impact.”
“India is not going, so live with it and the news about hybrid model will also come soon. Whatever India is doing is absolutely right”
According to Chopra, India’s stance to not travel to Pakistan is absolutely correct and Pakistan should “live with it”. As per the recent reports Pakistan is likely to agree to hybrid model and India’s matches will be played in a neutral venue that would be Dubai.
