Noida: Authority Issues Final WARNING To Demolish 12 Illegal High-Rise Buildings In Barola

The Noida Authority has issued a final notice to the owners of 12 high-rise buildings in the Barola area, instructing them to demolish the structures for being illegally constructed without proper authorization. The notice gives the owners 15 days to present their defense. If they fail to respond or if the Noida Authority is not satisfied with their explanation, demolition action will be taken.

The issue of illegal construction in the Barola area has been a growing concern, with several prominent showrooms and high-rise buildings having emerged on government land. These unauthorized constructions are widespread, with over 50 buildings across more than 50 villages in Noida having been built illegally.

Earlier this year, the Noida Authority issued a tender to select an agency to carry out the demolition of illegal high-rise buildings. The tender was awarded to an agency in May, tasked with demolishing the 12 buildings near the Hanuman Temple in Barola.

However, the process had been delayed after the owners of the buildings filed a case in the Surajpur court, which issued a stay order on the demolition. The court directed the Noida Authority to hear the owners’ side before proceeding with the demolition.

Now, the Noida Authority has resumed the process and issued a final notice to the owners, urging them to provide evidence supporting their claims within the next 15 days. If the owners fail to comply or their defense is found insufficient, the demolition will proceed. This step is part of the Noida Authority’s ongoing efforts to address the issue of illegal constructions.
