Varun Sharma hasn’t had it easy in the Hindi film industry. Like other actors in Bollywood, the Chutzpah actor had to go through his own share of hardships before earning recognition and success. Varun marked his entry into the world of showbiz with Fukrey and he became a household name. To date, people remember him as Choocha from the 2013 film. Although he got many good movies later, Varun went through hardships before he made his cut as an actor in films.

In a recent exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Varun spoke about his journey in the tinsel town. The actor stated that every rejection he got and every word that he heard, made him stronger and focused.

Talking about his hardships in detail, Varun said, “I wouldn’t like to use the word struggle, I would like to use the word learning. Even when I shifted to Bombay, I wasn’t struggling, I was learning. Because every rejection I had, every no that I heard made me stronger, more passionate more focused to convert that no into yes. But of course, there were hardships when I came to the city I didn’t know anyone, I was all by myself.

“(But) My family was supporting me, whether it was emotionally, whether it was financially or whether in any capacity. They were by my side and they were supporting me. I think the biggest strength is to have your family around you. But that journey was there. I was a regular guy, who used to run around the studio to the studio asking about if I fit or don’t fit for a particular part you are looking for. And (I) used to come back half-heartedly disappointed because I couldn’t get selected somewhere or I got rejected somewhere. So all these days were there,” he shared.

Besides this, the actor also shed light on his relationship status. The actor, who is currently seen in SonyLIV’s web series Chutzpah, told us that he hasn’t been in a relationship in a very long time. The Fukrey fame also stated his last long-distance relationship with a girl when he was in school or college.

On the work front, Varun will be next seen Cirkus with Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Sanjay Mishra and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film, directed by Rohit Shetty, is reportedly set to release on December 31, 2021
