Aligarh-Palwal Highway: Work To Begin Before Holi! Big Boost For Haryana, Rajasthan And Delhi

Construction of the Aligarh-Palwal National Highway is expected to start before Holi. The project has completed planning and works involve a 72 km stretch of road at a cost of Rs 1361 crore. After completion, it will ease travel from Aligarh to Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi.

Construction, comprising 46 km, will take place on that stretch of road, from Khairshwar Chowk, mainly by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The estimated land acquisition is 281 hectares. Of that 281 hectares, about 100 hectares have been acquired, compensation with 100 crore rupees has been distributed among about 700 farmers, and an additional allocation of 40 crore rupees for 280 farmers has been provided, with demands for compensation submitted for the remaining 1200 farmers.

As part of the project, a diversion of 33 km will also be built at Khair and Jattari. In RajaPur village, Khair, there will also be a toll plaza. Also, a four-lane road from Khair to Andala will be constructed (10 km) and one from Jattari onward (about 3 km).

Project Details:

An underpass of 7 to 12 metres each will be constructed at Loda, Andala, and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University.

A 30-meter flyover following the Defence Corridor is going to be constructed.

Total Project Cost: 1361 crore rupees.

Construction Cost: 831 crore rupees.

Compensation And Other Expenses: 530 crore rupees.
