After Khalistan allegation against Arvind Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas gets Y category security with CRPF cover

Following his claim that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wanted to become the Prime Minister of “independent Khalistan”, the Union government has given Y category security with CRPF cover to Kumar Vishwas.

The decision was based on intelligence inputs and taken after a thorough review.

On Friday, government sources had told PTI that the central government is reviewing the security of former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas and may give him protection through a central agency.

The move came in the wake of allegations against AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Vishwas had accused Kejriwal of supporting separatists during the high-voltage campaign for the assembly elections in Punjab alleging that Delhi CM had spoken about becoming PM of a separate state.

In a video, Kumar is seen saying, “One day, he (Kejriwal) told me he would either become CM (of Punjab) or first PM of an independent nation.. he wants power at any cost.”

Responding to this allegation, the AAP convenor described himself as “world’s sweetest terrorist” who builds roads, hospitals and sends elderly people to pilgrimage.

In his press conference on Friday, Kejriwal accused everyone of teaming up against him and calling him a terrorist.

Calling the poet’s allegation “comedy” he asked if that is the case, then why doesn’t Prime Minister Narendra Modi get him arrested?

“What were agencies during the Congress and BJP’s tenure doing till now? Why did they not arrest me? This is such a humorous matter,” he added.

Invoking Bhagat Singh he further said that the revolutionary was also called a terrorist by the British and all the corrupt people have teamed up to brand the disciple of Bhagat Singh a terrorist.

Responding to this, Kumar Vishwas accused Kejriwal of playing the ‘victim card’ and stated that he must stop tarnishing Bhagat Singh’s name.

“Bhagat Singh fought for India’s independence and you met Khalistanis, so stop spoiling the name of the revolutionary,” he said and revealed that during the 2017 Punjab Assembly Elections, terror sympathisers visited Kejriwal to meet him.
