Rishabh Pant Shares Emotional Post For Delhi Capitals After Parting Ways Ahead Of IPL 2025

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant was sold for a whopping price of INR 27 crore to the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction. For the first time after 2016, Pant entered the auction of the cash-rich league and was picked by Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils then). The franchise has played a major role in nurturing the cricketer and have turned him into a match winner. The latter also captained the franchise from 2020 to 2024. However, ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Pant was released by the franchise and he went on the auction table.

Rishabh Pant shared a farewell post for the Delhi Capitals on his official social media handle and bid adieu to the franchise. The post read, “The journey with Delhi Capitals has been nothing short of amazing. From the thrills on the field to the moments off it, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined. I came here as a teenager and we grew together over the last nine years. What made this journey all worthwhile is you, The fans. You’ve embraced me, cheered for me an stood by me in one of the toughest phases in my life. As I move on, I carry your love and support in my heart. I’ll look forward to entertain you whenever I take the field. Thank you for being my family and making this journey so special.”

Rishabh Pant met with a deadly accident back in December 2022 after which he missed the Indian Premier League 2023. However, Pant was always spotted supporting the Capitals and featured in their matches. As Pant says goodbye to DC, he will look forward to take up his new responsibility in the Lucknow Super Giants with both the hands.
