Supreme Court  dismissed the PIL filled seeking the reentry of paper ballot in elections in India. The petitioner mentioned that leaders like Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Former Andhra Prdaesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has questioned the tampering of EVM.

Replying to this the bench said, “”When Chandrababu Naidu or Mr Reddy lost, they say that EVMs are tampered and when they won, they don’t say anything. How can we see this? We are dismissing this. This is not the place where you argue all of this.”

The bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice PB Varale dismissed the public interest litigation filed by KA Paul, who is an evangelist. The plea seeks the physical paper ballot for voting in India.

He further added by saying that, EVM is a threat to democracy. He said that personalities like Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had raised concern on the issue of EVM tampering.
