Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp premiered last week and it has already started to grab attention for its controversies, drama, emotional moments and more. Just recently, Nisha Rawal, who was the first confirmed contestant, opened up about missing a father for her son Kaavish. For the unversed, Nisha got separated from TV actor Karan Mehra last year after she accused him of domestic abuse.
Since then, the duo has been living separately and their son has been staying with his mom Nisha. The actress had hosted a birthday party for him post her separation from Karan and now, the mother-son duo keeps indulging in fun activities. Nisha shares the videos of these fun stuff with Kaavish on Instagram and assures her fans that he is doing well.
Coming to her recent incident in Lock Upp, Nisha was asked by TV actor Karanvir Bohra “Don’t you miss your son having a father?” This made Nisha very emotional but gathered herself and gracefully said “I am the best dad for him, no one can be better than me for him”. Her reply to Karanvir was received very well with the other inmates who clapped for her and lauded her for being a single mother.
Nisha has been the highlight of the show so far for more reasons that one. Apart from handling questions about her separation from Karan firmly, the actress made the headlines after she went on a hunger strike. To get other inmates their essentials, Nisha decided to go on a hunger strike. She requested the makers to hand over Poonam Panday her medicines and also give other inmates items to survive in the lock up.
Speaking of the show, the first episode premiered on February 27, 2022. In the show, Kangana plays the jailor to 15 inmates who will be freed only on the Bollywood actress’ command. The show has seen participation from Munawar Faruqui, Payal Rohtagi, Chakrapani Mahraj, Shaisha Shinde, Tehseen Poonawalla, Shivam Sharma amongst 15 others.
