Suniel Shetty’s building sealed after three Delta variant COVID-19 cases were found

In a new, a total of three Delta variant COVID-19 cases were found in Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s housing society in South Mumbai. Suniel’s housing society, Prithvi Apartments located at Altamount Road, South Mumbai has been sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation following the same. As informed by BMC Assistant Commissioner Prashant Gaikwad, Suniel’s entire family is safe. 

“BMC has sealed ‘Prithvi Apartments’ building located at Altamount Road, South Mumbai as few people found #COVID19 positive. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty resides in the building. Sunil Shetty’s entire family is safe: BMC Assistant Commissioner Prashant Gaikwad,” new agency ANI’s tweet read.

Meanwhile, an official spokesperson of the Bollywood actor also confirmed the news, as reported by ETimes. Suniel’s society has been put under the “micro-containment zone” for having more than five active COVID-19 cases

On the personal front, Suniel recently shared a picture of his soon-to-be actor son Ahan Shetty with Indian cricketer KL Rahul. For those living under the rock, Suniel’s actress-daughter Athiya Shetty is dating Rahul for a long time now. The said image featured Ahan and Rahul looking handsome on the streets. Athiya and Ahan have accompanied Rahul at the ongoing test series in the UK. “MY LOVE MY STRENGTH!! @ahan.shetty @rahulkl,” Suniel had captioned the post. 

On the film front, Suniel was last seen in Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai Saga. It featured an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Aggarwal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte, and Gulshan Grover. The film had a theatrical release and did good business overall. Next up, Suniel has Milan Luthria’s Tadap and Telugu-language sports drama Ghani in his kitty. 

Meanwhile, amid growing cases of “highly transmissible” Delta plus variant of COVID-19, India, on July 12 reported 37,154 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra reported 8,535 new COVID-19 cases, 6,013 recoveries, and 156 deaths in the last 24 hours.
